(4) Model 560-2 (565-2) PRISM II CWL Monitors

The basic Model 560 is a CWL monitor intended for operation as a station monitor. The 560 is a gross alpha counting (>2 Mev) system. The 565 variant features three radon level indicating LED lamps (green, yellow, and red), The light's activation threshold levels are user set via the RS-232 serial communication port.

The 560/565 is fitted with an internal rechargeable battery, this battery is capable of supporting up to 30 hours of operation without power from the AC adapter/battery charger. An optional stainless steel cover is available to protect the instrument in extremely hostile environments (underground mining). An optional stainless steel slide-in mounting bracket is available to retain the instrument on a shelf structure. An optional waterproof connector provides control signals for external lights systems, such as the model 575 (1) larger lights box.

A PAD version of the 565 is also available, the model 561.

(3) Model 591 PAD Monitor

The model 591 is a CWL monitor intended for operation as a personal alpha dosimeter. The 591 features 4 alpha energy counting windows. These windows are internally set to count the activity on the filter from RaA (6 MeV), RaC' (7.7 MeV), ThC '(8.8 MeV), and gross count (>2 Mev).

The 591 includes three radon indicating LED lamps (green, yellow, and red), a unique feature for a PAD monitor. To provide a quick recover from a high level (red light ) condition, the lights are controlled by the short half-life RaA count. To optimize this feature, the alpha energy resolution is enhanced by the inclusion of an alpha particle collimator (stainless steel honeycomb) between the detector and the filter.

The light's and horn activation levels are user set via the RS-232 serial communication port. For industrial applications the 591 is fitted with an internal rechargeable battery, this battery is capable of supporting up to 9 hours of operation without power from the AC adapter. For underground mining applications the 591 can be fitted with a 6 volt lead acid (gel) battery pack (8 or 12 hour) and cap lamp assembly.

The count data can be read, and the periodic standard WL report produced with the PRISM PC Software package. Or for sites requiring many PADS, an automatic software PC based data acquisition and reporting system is available.

If programmed, and deployed with AC power adapters, the 591 PAD units can also be used as station monitors.

(2) Model 595-2 Spectroscopy PRISM III CWL Monitor

The Model 595 is a CWL monitor intended for operation as a station monitor. The 595 features 4 alpha energy counting windows. These windows are internally set to count the activity on the filter from RaA (6MeV), RaC' (7.7 meV), ThC' (8.8 MeV), and gross count (>2 MeV).

The 595 features include three radon level indicating LED lamps (green, yellow, and red). To provide a quick recovery from an alarm condition, the lamps activation is referenced to the RaA count , to optimize this unique feature, the alpha energy resolution is enhanced by the inclusion of an alpha particle collimator between the detector and the filter.

The light's activation levels are user set via the RS-232 serial communication port.

The 595 is fitted with an internal rechargeable battery. This battery is capable of supporting up to 30 hours of operation without power from the AC adapter/battery charger.

An optional stainless steel cover is available to protect the instrument in extremely hostile environments (underground mining). An optional stainless steel slide-in mounting bracket is available to retain the 595 on a shelf structure.

An optional waterproof connector provides control signals for external lights systems, such as the model 575 (1) larger lights box.
